Women as the Key Force ~For Change in the Asia Pacific Region~

Dear FAWA Members and ALL Concerned,

Sending you well wishes from Japan and hope that you and your families are doing well and

staying safe.

In 2018 at the Philippine Convention, I was humbled and honored to accept the Presidency of FAWA and the baton of leadership that was handed on to me by our Immediate Past President Mary Jane Ortega.

After returning to Japan, with the encouragement and support from the Honorary Advisors Kristal Koga, Sara Mei Woo, and Betty Chang, I was able to kick off the 24th Convention planning by embracing the spirit of the late Yukika Souma who was the pioneer of FAWA in Japan.

While working towards a successful Convention, unfortunately, the Covid-19 world pandemic suddenly appeared, and we had to regretfully postpone the Convention.

After overcoming difficult times, I am pleased to share that the 24th FAWA Convention will be held in Tokyo at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (niye.go.jp). The dates are confirmed for September 15-18,2023, and we would like to take an early opportunity to invite you to reserve these dates in your calendar and make arrangements to travel to Japan.

In closing, our FAWA Japan Team would like to express our sincere gratitude for your friendship and support over the years and are so excited to welcome you to Japan.
